How to Register for the swim team:

·        We have two Walk up registration days at the clubhouse, Saturday March 29 th and Saturday, April 19th at the clubhouse 9:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.

·        If you cannot make it to either registration date, please complete the swim team registration form attached, or print the form off the Hanarry web site (www.hanarry.org). It can be mailed to Christy Staubach, 408 Puckett Terrace, Lilburn, Ga.  30047.

·        PLEASE REMEMBER!  All New swimmers to Gwinnett County Swim League must bring an original and a copy of your birth certificate to registration. A league representative will verify having seen the original and return it to you. GCSL will keep the copy for our team files.

 

Team Parent Responsibilities:

·        Parents of children under 12 MUST NOT leave their child unattended during meets.

·        Parents / guardians are to volunteer to work at three swim meets per season. There are a number of FUN adult jobs including: timing, staging, stroke and turn judging (additional training/certification required), scoring, ribbons, concessions, deck set-up, copying of heat sheets, etc.

·        We need Stroke / Turn judges!!!! Please contact Christy Staubach if you can help here!

 

Swim Meet Dates:

  • Swim meets:    Dates not yet published by GCSL
  • County Meet:  July 18-20 (Fri -Sun). At the Georgia Tech Olympic Aquatic Center again!!! This is a great venue for a big meet and there is plenty of room for spectators. This schedule gives us a full 3 weeks before the start of school which is August 13.

 

Need Volunteers!! 

  • Please volunteer to help your swim team. Several Swim Team Board Positions are open and need to be filled. If you volunteer for one of the positions, this will count as a workday. This is a great way to get involved and to get to know the HSRC families.

 

Junior Coaches Applications 

  • We are now accepting applications for Junior Coaches. The application form can be found online at the Hanarry web site. The number of applications that are accepted will be dependent upon the number of 6 and under children that join the swim team. Deadline for applications will be April 23rd (the last walkup registration date).
  • Due to new rule changes in 2007, all paid coaches must be at least 14 years old
  • All JR coaches and their parents must sign a contract stating they understand their responsibilities as a JR coach
